IoR Associate Course – Enhancing Knowledge

With 16 years roofing experience, Ryan Thatcher is the director of Chew Valley Roofing. The independent, family-owned contractor provides roofing services to the residential and commercial sectors.

“After years of sub-contracting, I set up Chew Valley Roofing in 2017,” he says.  “Throughout my career, I’ve worked directly for clients and as a contractor, so have a good understanding of roofing and the industry. However, as a business owner, I recognised that I needed to broaden my knowledge. The company has grown significantly and I wanted to explore new skills that could help me build on this success.”

He continues: “The Associate course was very informative. It was interesting to get more of an insight into how the industry is changing and adapting, especially in line with sustainability issues.”
