Our CEO, Kay Rose, recently sat on the judging panel for BMI’s annual Apprentice of the Year competition in the flat roofing category.
Aimed at nurturing future roofing talent, the competition seeks to find the UK’s most promising apprentices and future leaders in our sector.
The winners receive a generous cash prize of £1,000 and training support from the BMI Academy. The two-day event took place at BMI’s training centre in Cirencester.
Speaking about her role, Kay said: “I was extremely honoured to be invited as a judge and I took this responsibility very seriously. It was wonderful to see these young people at the start of their careers, and I wanted to provide them with a challenge and the support to hopefully give them a head start. These individuals are the future of our industry, and it was fantastic to be involved in such a worthwhile event.”
Kay will also be judging the RCI Pitched Roofing Awards, which are being held in November 2022.
